I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn of Phil's death. As a WHS "56 classmate, I enjoyed a lengthy conversation with Phil at our recent reunion picnic. I have many fond memories of Phil during our high school years. Thoughts and prayers to Carol, his family and friends.

Phil was an adored and respected classmate, and he will always be part of some of the favorite memories from my youth. That he was tough and persistent till his end says much about his strength and how he inspired many of us. My thoughts are with all the family in these moments of loss.
