Aunt Mary was a wonderful woman..It has been awhile since I have seen her BUT my memories are of her laughter,love for her family and she never let people tell her she could not do something!!! 1 Sep 15, 1535hrs, A Paratroopers wife has made the journey to the Great Jumpmaster in the Sky. And Mary V. Strope, was proud to be titled as a 'Paratroopers-Wife'. One often hears people referring to their spouses as 'The better half' well sir, I am here to tell you, Mary was truly my better half, no question. I am at a loss, no one now to be my sounding board, no one now to keep me straight. A true loss, an amazing woman, wife, mother and friend who made an impression wherever she went and on whomever she met. Rest in peace my true friend in life, I love you with all my being.
This is the next to the last page of the last chapter in, "Nothing Lasts Forever" ~ The amazing story of the life and times of simple country girl, 'Crazy Mary' ~~~ Set in the green, rolling hills of N.E. PA. Mary, I love you so much and cannot believe you are gone so soon. We still had plans to spend time together. I will treasure forever all my memories and love for you, my baby sister. I hope that you will help Dad to look after Baby Kevin. I know that God has you wrapped in his warmth and love. We will all be together one day, and I hope that will be enough to get us through the rest of our days. I love you and my heart hurts to have you back.
