Barbara E. (Clark) Baker

Barbara E. (Clark) Baker, 77, of Coryland, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017, at her home.  She was the loving wife of Robert R. Baker.  The couple married November 1, 1959 and had 57 happy years together.

Barbara was born on March 31, 1939 in Canton, PA, daughter of the late Herbert W. and LaWanda (Webster) Clark.  She was a 1956 graduate of Canton High School, and after was employed by the Troy Area School District, working in and managing the cafeteria in the Mosherville Elementary School till her retirement after 35 years. Barb was a long time member of the Coryland Church and was a diligent servant of the Lord. In the church she served as a Sunday School teacher, Sexton, Secretary, was a member of the Ladies Quilting group, organized both the Quarterly Men’s Breakfast and bereavement meals at the church, and sang in the choir. 

Barbara is survived by her husband Bob, her children: Jill (Daniel) Yanchuk of Gillett, PA, Gary (Cynthia) Baker of Montoursville, PA, and Vicki Young of Pine City, NY, her grandchildren: Shawna, Laura with husband James, Stacey with husband Mark, Megan, Zachary, Kaylee, and Piper, her great grandchildren: Dillon, Donner, Stephen, Jack, and Sophia, her brother Robert W. Clark, her sister-in-law Betty Fields of Lake Placid, FL, along with several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Tom Clark, her son-in-law Donald Leonard, Jr., and her great grandson Davin Bean.

Friends and family are welcome to call from 11:00 am-1:00 pm on Friday, March 24, 2017 at the Coryland Church 3028 Hickory Road, Columbia Cross Roads, PA.  The funeral service to honor Barb’s life will be held at 1:00 pm following the visitation on Friday, March 24th at the church with her pastor, Rev. Jay Zaremba officiating.  Burial will be in Coryland Cemetery. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 1093 West Main St. Troy, PA has been trusted with the arrangements.
