Thomas E. Elvidge, Age 73, of East Smithfield, Pennsylvania passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 following a period of declining health.

Tom was born March 18, 1944 in East Troy, PA, son of the late James and Elma (Brown) Elvidge. He was a graduate of S.R.U. High School. Tom was a dedicated community member having served as the Fire Chief of the East Smithfield Fire Department as well as having served as part of the Tri-Township Ambulance Association. Tom believed ethic of working which resulted in him retiring a number of times including his retirement as a Paramedic from Guthrie as well as from Guthrie Med Supply Depot.

Tom is survived by his wife Lois (Kinglsey) Elvidge of East Smithfield, PA, daughter, Tammy E. (LaVern) Jackson of Wetona, PA, a son, Jamie (Joanne) Elvidge of Elmira, NY, step-daughters, Andrea Campbell and Marlin Bert of Lancaster, PA, Jamie Campbell and Dan Imthurn of Washington and Hawaii. Tom is also survived by his grandson, Zachary A. Jackson and his friend Kelsi Carter. Siblings surviving him include, Douglas (Jean Ann) Elvidge of Huber Heights, Ohio, James (Diane) Elvidge of Milan, PA, Pete (Jeannie) Elvidge of Jacksonville, FL, additional family members include, Linda (Tim Kelley) Hardenstine, Layton (Elizabeth) Kingsley, Laurence Kingsley, Doris Kingsley, Rosalie Kingsley, numerus nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his pets Wilma, Sandy, William and Tess.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 11AM to 12 PM at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA 16947. His funeral service will immediately follow at 12 Noon with Tom’s son-in-law LaVern Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, East Smithfield, PA.
