Marcia Blondell Bridgham

Marcia Blondell Bridgham passed away on Thursday August 18, 2016 in West Burlington Township, PA with her sons by her side following an extended period of illness. She was born to the late Martin E. and Marjorie (Swift) Blondell on May 4, 1942 in Milton, MA. 

She grew up in Canton, MA and graduated with the Canton High School class of 1960. She then went on to Keene (NH) State College where she met a young Marine Corps officer and they were married. The couple raised 2 boys and traveled extensively throughout the US as a military family. Marcia later went on to a long career in the insurance field and retired from the Corrigan Agency - Nationwide Ins. in 2011.   Marcia always enjoyed the oceans and waterfronts and spent time on the Pacific coast, Cape Cod, Annapolis, MD and the South shore of Boston, notably in Scituate.

She brought up her 2 boys to be productive adults and have families of their own. Marcia loved to follow along with her grandchildren's development and activities and cherished the moments when she could be with them. There were also many long-time friends that were dear to her and she enjoyed their company when visiting and phone calls to keep in touch. 

She was pre-deceased by her parents and several aunts and uncles. She is survived by her children Michael (Allyson) Bridgham of Troy, PA and Christopher (Jennifer) Bridgham of Davidsonville, MD; her brother Jon (Karen) Blondell and a nephew Erik Blondell all of Scituate, MA; and grandchildren Lindsey, Kelly, Riley and William Bridgham.  Along with several cousins with whom she grew up. 

Marcia will be laid to rest alongside her parents at the Canton (MA) Corner Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers or cards please consider making a donation in her memory to the "Bradford County Manor -Activities Department" at 15900 Route 6, Troy, PA 16947. This organization brought much care and comfort to Marcia in her final years. 

Arrangements are being entrusted with the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home in Troy, PA in cooperation with the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home in Canton, MA.
