Ruth M. Olsyn

Ruth M. Olsyn, Age 79 of Columbia Cross Roads, PA passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Bradford County Manor. Ruth was born January 20, 1939 in Morristown, NJ daughter of the late Rufin & Elizabeth (Hark) VanBossyut. Prior to moving to the area she was employed by the Mars Corporation the maker of M & M’s. Following that she and her husband Michael J. Olsyn, Jr. purchased their farm on the Huntington Road and operated their farm side by side.  Ruth’s passion and dedication in life was her husband, children, grandchildren and the farm.

Survivors include her loving husband Michael J. Olsyn, Jr, her children, Michael & Donna Olsyn, III, of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, Jackie Vargson of Troy, PA, Pamela Olsyn of NJ, Melinda Brunelle of Hagerstown, MD, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two brothers, Rufin & (Rena Richards) VanBossyut of MA, David & Melinda VanBossyut of OR, two sisters, Betty Ingram of TX, Victoria Johnson of FL, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services are private and under the direction of the Gerald W. Vickery Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA 16947.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Harkness Cemetery, Springfield Township, PA.
