Leslee Renee (Weaver) Wagner, 60, of East Troy, PA, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2019 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on November 24, 1958 in Elmira, NY, daughter of the late Theodore “Ted” Lewis Weaver and Beverly J. (Van Noy) Weaver. Leslee was a 1976 graduate of Troy High School and a 1980 graduate of Mansfield University, earning a degree in Psychology. She spent her career caring for people and social work and before retirement was the Regional Director for the Sullivan, Tioga, and Bradford Counties Department of Public Welfare. Leslee also was a regional drug recovery advocate and helped start the Bradford County Recovery Center. Her passion was music and playing guitar, was a foster parent to many, was a Girl Scout leader in Troy, supported her children in any interest or hobby they had, and was considered “The Robotics Club Mom” and the “Cobblestone’s Choir Mom”. Leslee was a Member of the Holy Trinity United Methodist Church (formerly East Troy United Methodist), and enjoyed gardening along with raising exotic chickens and dogs.
Leslee is survived by her companion of many years Donald E. Bruce of Troy, her children Shawn Daniel Wagner of East Troy and Amy Elizabeth Wagner with fiancé Tom Sawyer of Chicago, IL, her granddaughters Lily Aurora Wagner and Everly Rose Wagner, her brother and companion Dr. Bradley Duane Weaver and Dr. Jose’ R. Muñoz of Alexandria, VA, her aunt Adrianne VanNoy of East Troy, her cousins Gina Van Noy Sabido and George L. Van Noy, II, the father of her children Danny Wagner of Big Pond, PA, along with several pets she loved, along many friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents Ted and Bev.
Family and friends are welcome to call from 10:00 -11:00 am on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at the Holy Trinity United Methodist Church, 1214 Redington Ave. Troy, PA. The memorial service to honor Leslee’s life and accomplishments will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 4th at the church with Pastor Joshua Davinsizer officiating. Burial will be private in Glenwood Cemetery. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA has been trusted with the arrangements.
