Howard Alfred Decker

Howard Alfred Decker, 85, of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019, at home surrounded by his family. Howard was born on December 28, 1933 in Wyalusing, PA, son of the late Alfred A. and Lillian (Ennis) Decker. He was a 1951 graduate of Wyalusing High School, worked and retired from Calkins Motor Company in Troy, PA on December 24, 2007, and attended the Austinville Union Church. Howard was an avid hunter and fisherman, was a long time Boy Scout leader, enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends.

Howard is survived by his loving wife Rosanna (McClure) Decker, his children Rodney (Charlotte) Decker of Troy, Larry (Bethany) Decker of Linden, PA, and Brenda (Mike) Crippen of Gillett, PA, his grandchildren and their families: Amanda and Matthew Rockwell with their children Addlyn and Jackson, Angela and Tim Romanauski and their children Elijah and Paityn, Jon and Sarah Decker and their daughter Leeana, Nicole and Brian Breen and their daughters Carlie and Leia, his brothers Carl (Lovia) Decker of Philadelphia, PA, Alfred Decker of Towanda, PA, and Ron (Kathy) Decker of Elmira, NY, along with several nieces and nephews.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Jim and Paul Decker, and his sister Alberta Yardley.

Family and friends are welcome to call from 7:00-9:00 PM on Thursday, July 25, 2019 and again from 10:00-11:00 AM on Friday July 26, 2019 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Howard’s life will be held at the conclusion of the viewing at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 26th at the funeral home with Rev. Kenneth Marple officiating. Burial will follow in Sylvan Hill Cemetery.
