Duane B. Greene

TROY- Duane B. Greene, 43, of Granville Summit, PA, formerly of Breinigsville, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Family and friends are welcome to call from 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Gerald W. Vickery Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Duane's life will be held at the conclusion of the viewing at 7:00 PM Tuesday night, May 7th at the funeral home with Rev. Chris Nauta officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of Duane's family in Mountain Lake Cemetery. Duane was born on January 20, 1970 in Staten Island, NY, son of Bryan H. and Patricia (Eastham) Greene of Granville Summit. Duane enjoyed food preparation and worked in the dietary departments of a nursing home in Allentown, PA, and the Manor in West Burlington. He also worked for the Edgewoods Restaurant in Troy, and later worked for the produce department of the P&C Market in Wysox. Duane enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching NASCAR races, boxing matches, and football games on TV. He also enjoyed playing darts and raising a garden. Duane was Christian by faith. Duane is survived by his parents Bryan and Patricia, his sister Bonnie Greene, his nephew Patrick Neil Greene, his maternal uncles David and Danny, his maternal aunt Brenda, his paternal aunt Margaret, along with many cousins in several states. Duane was preceded in death by his brother Neil Greene who passed away on December 12, 1993, his grandparents, his aunt Ruth Ann, and his feline companion Turtle.
