Betty Jane McBride

Betty Jane McBride passed away at the age of 90 on June 10, 2023 in West Burlington, PA. She was born on May 11, 1933 in Allegan, MI to Jess and Anne (Veldt) McBride. Betty was a dedicated homemaker who spent her time creating a loving and warm home for her family. Her passions included gardening, camping, and spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word to share with those she loved.

She is survived by her children: Don (Deb) McBride of Maryland, Peg (Bernie) Betke of Troy, PA, and Doug (Cristi) McBride of Tennessee. Additionally, Betty is survived by her grandchildren: Tony (Carolyn) Betke, Dan (Annette) Betke, Mindy (Tim) McBride, Sarah (Milt) Olinger, Anna Betke, and Andy (Julie) McBride. Her legacy also lives on through her great-grandchildren: Dom, Drew, and Nate Betke, Cooper and Cam Betke, Kinzey Melton, Aiden Olinger, Hailey Gavin, and Calleigh McBride. Finally, Betty is survived by her sisters Rose, Sue, Bev, and her brother Richard and wife Pat, and special sister in law Janet McBride. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Donal G. McBride, her parents, Jess and Anne, her great-grandson Spencer Betke, her sister Mary, and her brothers Bob and John.

Services for Betty will be held at a later date. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 1093 West Main St. Troy, PA has been trusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one's choosing. Betty will be remembered for her warm heart, her unwavering love for her family, and her dedication to making her house a home. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
