Alfred Baldwin Obituary

Alfred D. "Al" Baldwin of Troy, Pennsylvania, passed away on December 29, 2023, at the age of 84. He was the loving husband of the late Margaret "Beth" (Cady) Baldwin. The couple married in 1987 and had 28 happy years together.

Al was born on January 26, 1939, in Troy, PA, to the late Donald and Irene (Baker) Baldwin and lived a fulfilling life and leaves behind cherished memories. In his early years, Al grew up working on the family farm, instilling in him a strong work ethic and a deep connection to the land. He continued this legacy by becoming a lifelong dairy farmer, dedicating himself to the noble profession and contributing to the local agricultural community. Additionally, Al worked as a skilled heavy equipment operator for several local contractors and even ventured into self-employment. Al graduated from Troy High School as part of the Class of 1957, nurturing lasting friendships and treasured memories. He was also a member of the East Troy Baptist Church, where he found spiritual guidance and fellowship.  Beyond his professional life, Al had a passion for stock car racing. He raced across Pennsylvania and New York, delighting in the thrill and camaraderie that came with the sport. In his leisure time, Al enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping, finding solace and adventure in nature's embrace.

Al will be lovingly remembered by his children: Wayne and Ellen Baldwin of Troy, Loretta and Greg Bruce of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, Sonya and Wayne Morgan of Troy, Deanna and Bill Morgan of Mainesburg, PA, Dale Baldwin of Columbia Cross Roads, Gyla and Jamey Hoose of Troy, and Kara and Sharon Brodie of Granville Summit. He will also be dearly missed by his stepdaughters Marilyn (Michael) Lepak and Mary Beth (Dave Barto) MacIntyre, several grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, sisters Charlene (Donald) Wheeler and Dawn (Meredith) May, sister-in-law Barbara Baldwin, the mother of Al’s children Cleo Thetga, along with several nieces and nephews. Al was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Margaret "Beth" (Cady) Baldwin, his brother Howard Baldwin, and his special sister Sylvia Cobleigh.
