Walter “Junior” Earle, Jr., 80 of Farmers Valley, PA passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the Troy Community Hospital with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of Phyllis J. (Kriner) Earle. The couple married July 11, 1961 and had 52 happy years together.
Junior was born on September 17, 1933 in Grover, PA, son of the late Walter and Sarah (Carl) Earle, Sr. For many years Junior was an Auto Body Repairman for George Crane, Eighmey, and Costy’s Motors. He retired from Parker-Hannifin in Canton as a Machinist. Junior collected watches and coins, enjoyed being outdoors, and enjoyed fishing. In his youth he liked trapping. Junior’s true passion were detailing and restoring cars, fixing anything that was broken, and spending time with his family.
Junior is survived by his wife Phyllis, his sons: Randy L. Earle of Alba and friend April Swavely, and Brian K. (Juanita) Earle of Granville, his grandchildren: Nathan Earle of Alba, Travis (Mackenzie) Earle of Troy, Elizabeth Earle of Troy with friend Dennis Weaver, Jeremy Earle of Canton and friend Melody Phelan, Jeanie Lehman of Gillett, Julia (Kevin) Colton of Wallaceton, PA, April (Brendon) Keegan of Wallaceton, and Nicholas Fennell of Granville, PA, eight great grandchildren, his brother Robert Earle of Troy, along with several nieces and nephews. Junior was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers: Kenny, Charles, Bruce, and John.
Family and friends are welcome to gather from 10:00-11:00 AM on Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Junior’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 30th at the funeral home with Rev. Duane Taylor officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service in Salem Cemetery in Liberty, PA.
