Thomas Lyle Byrne

Thomas Lyle Byrne, Age 89, of Route 6, Troy, PA, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Robert Packer Hospital. Tom was born July 25, 1929 in Langhorne, PA and was a graduate of Troy High School. Following graduation he joined the US Army and served his country from 1953 to 1955. He was employed by American LaFrance in Elmira, NY for many years and later by the Troy School District where he was retired from. He enjoyed coffee with his friends at Troy Lanes and could always be found at lunchtime at the Troy Lunch. Survivors include his half sister, Carolyn Gee of Granville Summit and a brother Frank Byrne of Texas and many local friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his step-mother. In accordance with Tom's wishes there will be no services and he will be laid to rest in Woodlawn National Cemetery, Elmira, NY. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Gerald W.
