Suzanne S. (Silvernail) Putnam

Suzanne S. (Silvernail) Putnam, 61, of Troy, PA, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, March 19, 2016. She was the loving wife of Allen D. Putnam. The couple married July 8, 1994 and had 21 happy years together.
Suzanne was born on January 15, 1955 in Troy, PA, daughter of the late Robert L. and Joanne L. (Kempfer) Silvernail. She was a Troy High School graduate, Class of 1972 and went on to receive a degree in Banking. Suzanne worked for First Citizen’s Community Bank at several of the branches and retired in 2008 as Branch Manager of the Troy office. She was a member of Bakerburg Community Church and the Thursday Ladies Bowling League at Terrace Lanes, enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with her family and friends. Suzanne was a true inspiration to her family, friends, and community, showing courage and strength in her battle with breast cancer.
Suzanne is survived by her husband Allen, her daughters Heather (Ken) Bohner and Sarah Jo (Steven) Murray, both of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, her step children Todd A. Putnam of Towanda, PA, and Jamie L. Putnam of Lewisburg, PA, her grandchildren: Kenny, Danielle, Gabrielle, Olivia, Haven, Teegan, and Brooklynn, her brothers Robert A. Silvernail with fiancé Karen Harvey and James E. (Lana) Silvernail, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents Arthur and Audrey Kempfer and Eldon and Mildred Silvernail.
Family and friends are welcome to call from 3:00-6:00 pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Bakerburg Community Church 197 Gray Valley Rd, Mainesburg, PA. The funeral service to honor Suzanne’s life will be held at the conclusion of the visitation at 6:00 pm at the church with Rev. Paul Binkley officiating. Burial will be private in Glenwood Cemetery. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA has been entrusted with arrangements.
