Shirley L. Beach

Shirley L. Beach, Age 84, of Laporte, PA passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the Highlands Care Center. Shirley was born October 27, 1930 daughter of the late Merritt and Sadie Belle (Breese) Gerould. She was a homemaker and enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Shirley’s interests included bowling, playing cards, jigsaw puzzles and camping.
At Shirley’s request graveside services will be private in the Union Cemetery, East Smithfield, PA. The Gerald W. Vickery Funeral Home, 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA have been entrusted with arrangements.
Survivors include her three daughters, Connie Beers of Columbia Cross Roads, Deborah Eighmey of Columbia Cross Roads, Cindy Oldroyd of Gillett, a son and daughter-in-law, Douglas & Karen Beach of Columbia Cross Roads, a sister, Betty Russick of East Smithfield, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, five sisters, Marjorie Gerould, Irene Hamilton, Bertha Brown, Ruth Morse, Gladys Maciel, four brothers, Gordon, Clayton, Manley, Hubert and Carroll Gerould.
The family has asked that those wishing to pay it forward with an act of kindness in Shirley’s memory.
