Sharon I. (Nichols) Robbins

Sharon I. (Nichols) Robbins, 72, of the Paul Reynolds Apartments in Troy, PA, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the Troy Community Hospital surrounded by her family.

Sharon was born on May 1, 1942 in Sayre, PA daughter of the late Donald H. and Eunice (Eiffert) Nichols.  She was an SRU graduate and was Christian by faith.  Sharon enjoyed sewing, knitting, and creating clothing. She also enjoyed cooking, tending to flowers, and spending time with her family and friends.

Sharon is survived by her children: Ilene Y. Roberts, Jeffrey A. (Nancy) Robbins, Kathy E. Appel, and Brian H. (Shannon) Robbins, her grandchildren: Kyle, Jonathan, Pamela, Lillian, Stephanie, Corey, Karen, Ken, Kim, Lindsey, Kylee, and Mason, her nine great grandchildren, her sister Donna (Bill) Earls, her brother Phillip (Alice) Nichols, the father of her children Richard “Dick” Robbins, along with several nieces and nephews.  Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Carey Nichols.

Family and friends are welcome to call from 2:00-4:00 pm on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Sharon’s life will be held at the conclusion of the viewing at 4:00 pm on Sunday, May 3rd at the funeral home with Rev. Duane Taylor officiating.
