Ruth (Rockwell) Manley, Age 93, of Troy, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday. January 13, 2015. Ruth was born September 21, 1921 in West Burlington, PA daughter of the late Joseph & Bessie (Welch) Rockwell. She was a graduate of Troy High School and married W. Edward Manley on April 20, 1940. Together they worked their family Dairy Farm on East Main Street in Troy. Ruth was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Troy and enjoyed flowers and gardening.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service that will be held later this spring in Glenwood Cemetery. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA is in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are her two sons, Joe Manley of Troy, Jerry Manley of Troy, three daughters and sons-in-law, Ann (Harry) Derck of Hemet, CA, Phyllis (DeWayne) Low of Howey in the hills, FL and Susan Farrell of Apalachin, NY, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
Ruth was predeceased by her parents, a brother Arthur Rockwell, her husband W. Edward Manley on February 2, 1999 a granddaughter Nicole May and son-in-law, Jerome Farrell.
