Russell A. "Pete" Goodrich

Russell A. “Pete” Goodrich, 94, of Gillett, PA passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at the Troy Community Hospital. He was the loving husband of the late Marjorie A. (Dunbar) Goodrich who passed away on October 3, 2006. The couple married on October 9, 1943 and had 62 happy years together.
Pete was born on February 22, 1920 in Tioga, PA, son of the late Verne S. and Agusta (Heck) Goodrich. He worked for the Tennessee Gas Pipeline until his retirement in 1985. Pete was a member of the East Troy Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing baseball when he was younger, bowled in a league at Terrace Lanes, and liked hunting and fishing. Marjorie and Pete liked polka dancing, spending time at Keuka Lake, and being with their grandchildren.
Pete is survived by his daughter Judy (Stuart) Berry of Gillett, PA, his grandchildren: Mike (Diana) Berry of Gillett, and Shelly Miller of Sarver, PA, and his great grandchildren: Nichole Miller, Ryan Miller, and Wyatt Berry. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marjorie, and several brothers and sisters.
Services for Russell A. “Pete” Goodrich will be private and at the convenience of his family. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
