Rudy V. Baxter

Rudy V. Baxter, 67, of Columbia Crossroads, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2026, in Towanda. Born on December 20, 1958 to the late Clarence Oliver and Sarah Lucile (Simcoe) Baxter in Troy, Rudy was a lifelong dairy farmer who dedicated his life to the land and his family.

A man of many interests, Rudy enjoyed shooting and hunting, and he had a passion for line dancing and karate. He always enjoyed a good conversation for as long as anyone wanted to listen. Above all, he loved his family deeply and cherished the time spent with them.

He is preceded in death by his parents. Rudy is survived by his brother, Calvin (Vonnie) Baxter; nieces, Casey (Austin) Guindon and Madisyn (Joshua) Swain; as well as great-nieces and nephews Clayton, Nathan, and Aiden Guindon, and Rosalyn Swain who held a special place in his heart.

In keeping with Rudy's wishes, there will be no public services, and he will be laid to rest beside his parents in Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rudy’s memory may be made to Troy Junior Sportsmen, PO Box 142, Troy, PA 16947.
