Phyllis Jean (Cowles) Hall

Phyllis Jean Cowles Hall at the age of 80 years passed away April 9, 2025 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She had been a resident at St. Joe's Skilled Nursing Facility where she had made many friends, residents and staff alike. When staff was asked where is Phyllis, they'd reply, you mean "sassy"!

Phyllis was born September 23, 1944 in Geneva, NY to Paul L. Cowles and Martha M. Orcutt Cowles.

Phyllis married in 1963 to Robert L. Hall, predeceased in 2024, and they settled in Bradford Co. PA with three children. Sons, Jeffrey Hall (Darla) of Montour Falls, NY, Mark (Susan) Hall of Troy, PA, daughter Robbin (Jay) of  Longview, TX and grandson Skyler of TX.

Phyllis worked several years at the J.C. Penney in Troy and tended bar at times in Troy and Canton area before moving to Venice, FL in 1992, where her and Robert caught up with many of their friends from the Troy, PA area.

Phyllis enjoyed the bus trips from the Venice Moose to the FL Keys.

Phyllis and Robert relocated back north in 2005 to be near family, and close friends of the family. Phyllis brought smiles, laughs and frustration with her "sassy" personality, something the team at St. Joe's Skilled Nursing Facility knew all about. She loved playing Skip-O and being the "Bingo" champ.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joe's Skilled Nursing Facility and the dear friends she made.
