Joyce E. (Cronk) Bristol Lenton

Joyce E. (Cronk) Bristol Lenton, 80, of Troy, PA, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. 

Joyce was born on August 31, 1936 in Gouverneur, NY, daughter of the late Wilbur and Betty (Morgan) Cronk, Sr. She was a housekeeper at the Bradford County Manor until her retirement. Joyce attended the East Smithfield Federated Church and Olde Covert Church on Armenia Mountain.  She was  a past member of the Canton Moose, enjoyed bowling in the ladies leagues at Terrace Lanes, was an avid hunter and even hunted rattle snakes, liked a good game of darts and Euchre, and was a passionate gardener.

Joyce is survived by her children: Betty S. (Larry) Rowe of Milan, PA, Angela J. (Larry) Graham of East Smithfield, PA, Donna M. DuVall of Troy, PA, Diane E. Bristol of Armenia Mountain, PA, Robin F. Sullivan of St. Cloud, FL, Robert F. Bristol, Jr. of Palm Bay, FL, Vernon W. (Terri) Bristol of Alba, PA, and Valerie A. Bristol of Florida, 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, her sisters: Margaret Hall of Ellenton, FL, Marie Rennecke of Ridgeway, PA, and Rosalie Mosher of St. Mary’s, PA, along with several nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, by Robert F. Bristol, the father of her children, her daughter Karen Richards, her great grandchildren Heath and Daniel, brothers: Wilbur Jr., William and Richard Cronk, and sister Bonnie Gelwicks.

Family and friends are welcome to call from 11:00 am-1:00 pm on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA.  The funeral service to honor Joyce’s life will be held at the conclusion of the viewing at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 29th at the funeral home with Pastor Timothy Robson officiating.  Burial will be private at the convenience of Joyce’s family in Glenwood Cemetery.
