Norma M. (Garrison) Baker, 97, of Coryland, PA passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the Twin Oaks Personal Care Home in Granville.  She was the loving wife of the late Richard R. Baker who passed away July 18, 1999.  The couple married May 28, 1936 and had 63 happy years together.

Norma was born on October 10, 1918 in Roseville, PA, daughter of the late Elsie M. (Sweely) and Max Le Grand Garrison.  She was a graduate of Millerton Normal School and was a member of the Coryland Church since 1955.  Norma was part of the local 4H leadership, was a member of the Homemaker’s Club, and was a Elections Majority Inspector at the polls when the community voted.  Norma was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Norma is survived by her son, Robert (Barbara) Baker of Gillett; daughter, Betty A. Fields of  Lake Placid, FL, sister Mary Lou Garrison, grandchildren, Jill, Gary, Vicki, Debra, Diane, David, great-grandchildren, Nikki, Becky, Danielle, Jonathon, Shawna, Laura, Stacey, Zachary, Megan, Kaylee, and Piper, ten great-great grandchildren, along with  many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, her sister Nelle Sands, and son-in-law John Fields.

Family and friends are welcome to call from 12:00-1:00 pm on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Coryland Church 3028 Hickory Road Columbia Cross Roads, PA.   The funeral service to honor Norma will be held at the conclusion of the visitation at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 5th at the church with Rev. Jay Zaremba officiating.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of Norma’s family in Roseville Cemetery.  The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA has been trusted with the arrangements.

The family wishes to recognize the staff and management of Twin Oaks Person Care.
