Nancy (Slater) Coxhead

Nancy (Slater) Coxhead, 60, of Troy, PA passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of Towanda Memorial Hospital.  She was the loving wife of the late Harry F. Coxhead who passed away June 13, 2018.  The couple married June 20 1983 and had 35 happy years together.

Nancy was born on September 21, 1957 in Troy, daughter of the late George and Marian (Ross) Slater.  She was a graduate of SRU East Smithfield and after was a nurse’s aide and house keeper ending her career at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Nancy was a homemaker most of all and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Nancy is survived by her sisters Karen (Charles) Masteller, Jr. and Kathy Assumpcao of Ulster, PA, sister-in-law Cindy Slater also of Ulster, step children: John (Shari) Coxhead of Troy, Fred (Ruth) Coxhead of Gillett, Jason Johnston of Tucson, AZ, daughter, Sherrie (Glenn) Westerfer of Millerton, several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry, her brother Gerald Slater, and her brother-in-law Fred Selleck.

Family and friends are welcome to call from 1:00-2:00 pm on Saturday, July 14, 2108 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA.  The funeral to honor Nancy’s life will be held at the conclusion of the visitation at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 14th at the funeral home.  Burial will be private in Hilton Cemetery.
