Marjorie "Marge" (Ward) Crandle

Family and friends may call from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 and again from 10:00-11:00 am on Thursday, November 6th at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Marge’s life will be held at the conclusion of the viewing at 11:00 am on November 6th at the funeral home with Rev. Patrick Kelly, Rev. Andrew Phillips, and Rev. Robert Wuethrich officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
Marge was born on August 24, 1928 in Berrytown, PA daughter of the late Wayne J. and Olive (Miller) Ward. She was a graduate of Troy High School, Class of 1947. She worked in the Dietary Department of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Elmira and was the local Avon Lady for many years. Marge was a faithful member of Berrytown Wesleyan Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Marge is survived by her daughter Gayle (Glen) Leonard of Bentley Creek, PA, her granddaughter Amanda M. Leonard Higgenbotham of Athens, PA, her great granddaughter Marissa M. Higgenbotham, her sister Janice (Ward) Cameron of Laurel, MD, her nephews David VanNoy and Scott (Alexis) Cameron, and her nieces Sharon (John) Neighoff and Dawn (Matt) Hanson. She was preceded in death by her parents the late Wayne J. and Olive (Miller) Ward.
