Marilynn Lea (Brown) Krise

It is with heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Marilynn (Brown) Krise, 76, of Troy, PA.

Marilynn Lea was born January 7, 1950 in Canton PA, one of five children born to the late Harold Brown and Betty Mae (Worthington) Brown Walters. She was a graduate of Troy Area High School and Williamsport Area Community College where she studied to become an LPN. On September 18, 1976 she married Ronald Krise in Sylvania PA. After a few years of living around the world following Ron's Air Force career they settled back in Troy to continue raising their three daughters, and their families including 10 grandchildren, and enjoying almost 50 years of loving marriage. Her family was the most important part of her life. She was the heart and soul. She enjoyed every second of time spent with her family, making special birthday dinners, overnight parking lots stays at the casino with her husband Ron, trips anywhere, her special “Sister Days” and sister trips, vacations with her family, her biggest joy was seeing her kids and grandkids doing anything together! Especially if they included Lola. She put her whole heart into being the best wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and aunt. She was the best at doing ALL of those. And she DID win Uno.

She worked at the Troy Community Hospital and then the Martha Lloyd community for over 30 years until her retirement in 2014, so she could spend more time with her family she so dearly loved.

She is survived by the loves of her life, husband Ron, daughters: Jennifer (Mike) Bohner, Terri (Joby) Allen, and Jessie (Mike) Parks, all of Troy; grandchildren: Megan-Michelle, Melina, Zach, Dylan, Tyler, Jordyn, Devyn, Autumn, Kendall and Cameron Bear, Dillon, sisters and brother Carol (James) Burd of Mansfield, PA, Robert (Cyndy) Brown of Clarksville, TN, and Glenda (Frank) Watson of Canton, mother-in-law Margaret Krise, sisters-in-law Roxanne (Allen) Roloson, Barbara Krise (John Ott), Sharon (Rod) Watson, brothers-in-law: Kenneth Krise and Tom Dunbar, all of Troy. Many loving nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. And our special cat sister Lola.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her stepfather Lee Walters, sister Susan Wolfe, brother-in-law Nelson Wolfe, father-in-law Ernest Krise, sister-in-law Mary Dunbar, and a niece Courtney Brown Woodward.

A celebration of Marilynn’s life will be held at a later date. Her family has entrusted her arrangements to the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Troy, PA.
