Margaret E. (Lamont) Mcclelland

Margaret E. (LaMont) McClelland, 89, 0f Troy, PA and formerly of Columbia Cross Roads, Passed away on November 13, 2014 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.  She was born on November 3, 1925 in East Troy, PA, to the late Howard and Ida (Peckham) LaMont.  Margaret was a graduate of Troy High School, Class of 1944.  She married Bruce B. McClelland on June 24, 1944.  They were farmers together until Bruce’s death on July 2, 1977.  They were members of Berrytown Wesleyan Church.  Margaret enjoyed attending the Gillett Senior Center and spending time with her family.

Margaret is survived by her children Fay and Barbara McClelland, June and Thomas Gordon, Dale and Linda McClelland, along with Gail and Dale Dillon.  She is also survived by her grandchildren John and Kathy McClelland, Roy McClelland, Ann Esias, Scott and Sue McClelland, Kevin and Deb McNeal, Traci and Robert Gilliland, Chad McClelland, Amy and Charles Stewart, Amanda and Steven Kintzler, Adam and Julie Dillon, along with Bradley and Jennifer Dillon, 16 great grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her “Angel” of a friend Vivian Kie.  Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and husband Bruce.

Family and friends are welcome to call from 10:00 am-12:00 pm on Monday, November 17, 2014 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA.  The funeral service to honor Margaret’s life will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, November 17th at the funeral home with her nephew, Rev. Lester McClelland and her pastor, Rev. Patrick Kelly officiating.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of Margaret’s family in Bradford County Memorial Park.
