Louise (Hammond) Dimon

Louise (Hammond) Dimon, 88, of Athens, PA, formerly of Bentley Creek, PA passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. She was the loving wife of the late Richard H. “Dick” Dimon who passed away on March 10, 2020. The couple married on September 3, 1955, and had 64 happy years together.

Louise was born on April 25, 1937, in Towanda, PA daughter of the late Raymond C. and Marie (Cowles) Hammond. She was the Cafeteria Manager for over 30 years for the Gladys Burnham Elementary School and retired in 2000. Louise was a member of the Bentley Creek Wesleyan Church and its choir, enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Pinecroft Golf Club. She enjoyed square dancing and bowling with her husband Dick. Louise also enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, sewing, gardening, cooking, and singing,

Louise is survived by her daughters Cynthia (Mac) MacCracken and Kathy (Jeff) Inman, her son Rick (Brigette) Dimon, 8 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dick, her brothers: Charles, Stewart, and James Hammond, and sister Vera Kennedy.

Family and friends are welcome to call from 1:00-3:00 pm on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Bentley Creek Wesleyan Church, 13255 Berwick Turnpike, Gillett, PA. The Celebration of Louise’s life will be held following the viewing at 3:00 pm at the church with her pastor, Rev. Robert Wuethrich officiating. Burial will take place in Rome Cemetery on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM. The Gerald W.
