Jean M. (Hewitt) Kendall

Jean M. (Hewitt) Kendall, Age 94, formerly of Redington Avenue Troy, PA passed away at Twin Oaks Personal Care Home on Thursday, May 2, 2019. Jean was born January 21, 1925 in Troy daughter of the late Glenn M. and Lucelia (Fay) Hewitt and attended Troy High School. She and Merle L. Kendall were married March 15, 1941 and celebrated 64 years together prior to his passing in 2005.  Jean worked at the Bradford County Manor in the kitchen and later was a childcare provider at Little Learners Nursery School. She enjoyed camping and adored her loving family.

Survivors include a son David Kendall of Gillett, daughters, Judith Dewey and Linda Besley both of Columbia Cross Roads, a brother, John Hewitt of El Cajon, CA, numerorus  grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

Jean was predeceased by her husband Merle L. Kendall, a brother, Glenn Hewitt sister, Janet Tillotson, two sons-in-law, Thomas Dewey and Richard Besley and her daughter-in-law, Linda Kendall.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Gerald W. Vickery Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA 16947. Interment will be in Windfall Cemetery, Windfall, PA.
