Janice R. (Coulter) De Ancona

Janice R. (Coulter) De Ancona, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024, at the Sayre Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Sayre, PA. Born on August 30, 1933, in Philadelphia, PA, she lived a life full of warmth, creativity, and love, reaching the age of 91.

Janice dedicated many years of her life as a buyer for a clothing manufacturer, where her keen eye for detail and fashion left an indelible mark. Her interests were as varied and colorful as her personality; she found joy in sewing, crocheting, and painting, especially creating beautiful watercolor pieces. She was also skilled in pottery and enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and word games. A lover of nature, Janice delighted in bird watching, and she was an avid viewer of game shows and the classic television program "Columbo." A woman of faith, Janice was a practicing Christian who carried her beliefs into every aspect of her life, offering love and kindness to everyone she met.

Janice  is survived by her devoted children: son Raymond W. (Dawn) De Ancona, Jr. of Downingtown, PA, and daughter Michelle Heron of Gillett, PA. Janice also leaves behind cherished grandchildren Megan Bellinger of Lock Haven, PA, and Kathryn De Ancona of Downingtown, PA, along with her beloved great-grandchildren, Lilyana Bellinger and Oliver Bellinger. She will be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Lee and Marion (Hessley) Coulter; her husband, Raymond W. De Ancona, Sr.; her sister, Marion; and her brother, Ralph.

In accordance with her family's wishes, services will be held privately at their convenience. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bradford County Humane Society, PO Box 174, Ulster, PA 18850, in honor of Janice's love for all living creatures. The Gerald W.
