Janet (Hewitt) Tillotson

TROY- Janet (Hewitt) Tillotson, 87, of Troy, PA passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Bradford County Manor.

Janet was born on August 1, 1926 in Troy, PA, daughter of the late Glenn H. and Lucelia (Fay) Hewitt. Her family was everything to her. She had three children: Norman Tillotson, Jonell Foster, and Roger Tillotson (Yvonne Roberts). Her grandchildren were Mathew Tillotson, Samantha (Bill) Meriwether, Jeremy Castle (Christie Roberts), Joshua (Julie) Castle and Jamie Tice. Janet is also survived by four great grandchildren: Abigail Meriwether, Nathaniel Castle and expected Baby Castle and Caleb Tice. She is also survived by a brother John (Margaret) Hewitt, a sister Jean Kendall, and her sister-in-law Dolores Hewitt.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, the father of her children Stanley Tillotson, her brother Glenn M. Hewitt, and brother-in-law Merle Kendall.

A small family graveside service to honor Janet's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Glenwood Cemetery Street Troy, PA with her friend, Rev. Garry Zuber officiating. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA has been entrusted with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in Janet's memory to the Oscoluwa Engine and Hose 88 Fire House Drive Troy, PA 16947 or the First Baptist Church of Troy, 579 Canton Street Troy, PA 16947.
