Janet E. (Cole) Mattocks, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2026, at her home in Springfield, PA, at the age of 83. Born on September 6, 1943, in Canton, PA, she lived a life filled with love, faith, and dedication to her family and community.

Janet was the cherished daughter of the late Eldon and Esther (Bohlayer) Cole. She shared her life with her late husband, F. Dale Mattocks, on their family farm, where she embraced the role of a farm wife with grace and tenacity. Her passion for creating crafts and her unwavering support of the New York Yankees were well-known among those who loved her. Above all, Janet was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, sharing laughter and creating memories.

A devout member of Springfield Baptist Church, Janet devoted her musical talents to the congregation as both the choir director and pianist. Her faith and commitment to her church community were an integral part of her life. She was also an active member of the East Troy Grange, where she formed lasting friendships.

Janet is predeceased by her husband, F. Dale Mattocks; her son, Lyle Mattocks; her daughter, Annette Beyer; her parents, Eldon and Esther Cole; her brother-in-law, Eric Husted; and her sister-in-law, Donna Hettich, along with her brother-in-law Robert Hettich.

She leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory: her son, Mark Mattocks, and his wife, Wendy; her daughter-in-law, Tanya Mattocks; her son-in-law, Greg Beyer; her grandchildren, Allison (Joshua) Benton, Courtney (Evan) Perry, Megan Beyer, Tiffani (Clayton) Schucker, Nathaniel Mattocks, Brooke (Ryan) Christner, Brandon (Lizzy) Mattocks, and Amity Mattocks; her great-grandchildren, Jackson Schucker, Kennedy Perry, Madison Perry, Walker Perry, Emersyn Schucker, Ayla Benton; and her sister, Judy Husted.

The Celebration of Life service for Janet will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Springfield Baptist Church, located at 3093 Springfield Rd, Columbia Cross Roads, PA 16914. Visitation will commence at 9:00 AM, followed by a service at 10:30 AM. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 1093 W Main St., Troy, PA.
