Georgia A. Jenkins

April 20, 1938 — August 27, 2014

Georgia A. Jenkins, 76, Troy, Pa. lost her battle with
cancer on August 27, 2014 at home with family by
her side.

Born April 20, 1938 in Elmira, NY she was the
daughter of Raymond and Helen Bristol Brewer.

A 1956 graduate of Troy High School, Georgia
married her high school sweetheart, Richard “Dick”
Jenkins on June 24, 1956.  Together they owned
and operated Hi-Lev Farms, a successful dairy
business for over 45 years.  They raised their
family and entertained countless others who
came to enjoy the comradery in the home in which
“Cabbage”, as Dick so fondly called her, built her
own kitchen cabinets.  She was a member of the
Leona Church and life time member of the Troy
Volunteer Fire Department; an avid hunter and
outdoorswoman.  Truly a great lady who would lend
a hand to anyone in need.

Georgia was predeceased by her parents; sister,
Eileen Brewer Sisson; brothers, Norman Brewer
and Merle Brewer; daughter-in-law, Lisa Strope
Jenkins.  She is survived by her husband of 58
years, Dick Jenkins; daughter, Bonnie (Michael)
Stone, Lakeland, FL; sons, Robert “Bob” (Linda)
Jenkins, Wilkes-Barre, PA and Donald “Zeke”
(Tammi) Jenkins, Troy, PA; seven grandchildren;
Two great-grandsons; sister, Marian Brewer
Brogdale,  Apalachin, NY; several nieces and
nephews.

Arrangements are with the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr.
Funeral Home, Inc  1093 W. Main Street  Troy, PA 16947.
Calling hours to be held Monday, September  1, 2014
5:00PM – 9:00PM with funeral services Tuesday,
September 2, 2014 at 11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations in
Georgia’s name  to the Troy Volunteer Fire Department
88 Firehouse Lane  Troy,  PA  16947.
