Edith May Darrow

Edith May (Kuhnle) Darrow, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on March 9, 2026, at Bradford Hills Nursing & Rehabilitation in Troy, PA. She was 86 years old.

Edith was born on December 22, 1939, in Towanda Township, Bradford County, PA, to the late Frederick and Florence (Kirkendall) Kuhnle.

As a devoted homemaker and farm wife, Edith dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. She found joy in tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, which were always a source of beauty and bounty. An avid reader, Edith enjoyed the quiet moments spent with a good book. She also had a lifelong love for horses.

Edith was a faithful member of the Burlington United Methodist Church, where she found spiritual nourishment and community over the years. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing comfort and strength.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul L. Darrow; her son, Scott Darrow; and her sisters, Elizabeth Lutz, Noami Pepper, and Donna Madigan.

Edith leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her sons, Timothy Darrow of Burlington, PA, and Terry (Becky) Darrow of Narvon, PA; her daughter, Jennifer (George) Ingrassia; her grandchildren, Brittany (Peter) Stevenson, Caleb (Brianna) Darrow, Hannah Oswald, and Andrew Ingrassia; and her great-grandchildren, Tyson Darrow, Rayne Darrow, and Tate Stevenson.

In honor of Edith's wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Troy, PA has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N Michigan Ave, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
