Dorna F. (Krise) Case

Dorna F. (Krise) Case, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, at Bradford Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation in West Burlington, PA. Born on August 19, 1936, in North Union, PA, she lived a life marked by devotion to her family and community, leaving behind a legacy of love and generosity at the age of 89.

A graduate of Canton High School's Class of 1956, Dorna went on to work at the stocking factory in Troy before dedicating herself to the loving role of a homemaker. Her life was enriched by simple pleasures such as shopping and spending quality time with her cherished family and friends. A faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Troy, she found strength and solace in her faith community.

Dorna was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Arlene (Schanbacher) Krise and husband Robert L. Case, who passed away on November 26, 1925; sister LaRene (Robert) Putnam; brothers-in-law Glen Case and Alton Case; and sister-in-law Linda Krise.

She is survived by her loving children, Kathleen (John) Hurlburt of Troy, PA, Gary Case of Troy, PA, and Chad Case of Martha Lloyd's resident home Cedar Ridge in Canton. Her grandchildren, Megan (Jacob) Johnson of Troy and Brooks (Miranda) Hurlburt of Troy, brought immense joy to her life. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Jerome Schram, Jr. (fiancée Mikayla Palmer/Bacon) of Scotch Plains, NJ, Brennan Johnson, Ian Hurlburt, and Reed Hurlburt, all at home. Her surviving siblings include sister Joyce Case, brothers Albert (Ethel) Krise and Paul Krise. She is also remembered fondly by her sister-in-law Geraldine (Lewis) Stevenson and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a viewing from 10:00-11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Vickery Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Garry Zuber officiating. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
