Doris (Gray) Quattrini, Kennedy
Doris was born May 2, 1928 in West Leroy, PA where her parents ran a Country Store. There was such a snowstorm that day that the Dr. could not get there. Nettie Morley was the mid-wife.
Doris was very active in her school starting in the graded school in Leroy, PA and graduating in 1946 from Canton High School in Canton, PA. She enjoyed being on the Queen Court, Drama and band where she became Drum Major.
Doris came to Elmira and eventually worked at Westinghouse Corporation in the Accounting Department where she enjoyed the work and absolutely enjoyed her fellow staff members; forming many lifelong friendships which lead to participation in clubs and teams. She was a swimming instructor at the YWCA and was an outstanding bowler. She and her husband Bud struggled at, but enjoyed the game of golf.
Doris is survived by her husband Marshall “Bud” Kennedy, her children, Pamela (Daryl Welty) Quattrini, Michelle (Sam) Levine, Peter (Cheryl) Quattrini, Susan (Perry) Parmenter, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brothers, Willis Gray and Donald (Jeanette) Gray, step-children, Marsha (Nick) Ridings, Patricia (Ben) Kennedy-Schulte and Ruth (James) Keegan, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Doris was predeceased by her first husband Peter Quattrini, her parents and several Siblings.
A Memorial Service will be held in the East Canton Methodist Church and Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy, PA. The date is yet to be determined.
