Delbert L. Wood

Delbert L. Wood, 88, of Troy, PA passed away on Saturday June 23, 2018 at the Bradford County Manor.  He was the husband of the late Donna (Wilcox) Wood who passed away on September 5, 2004.  The couple married January 4, 1950 and had 54 years together.

Delbert was born on October 25, 1929 in Canton, PA son of the late Walter H. and Daisy (Kinney) Wood.  He worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and later was a forklift operator at Larimer & Norton in Troy until his retirement in 1992.

Delbert is survived by his children Dale Wood of Troy and Joann (Paul) Starkweather of Iron River, MI, his grandchildren: Nikki Preston, Sheena (Christopher) Pettitt, Mara Wood, Crystal (Ethan) Paz, Tony Starkweather, Kayla (Josh) Luckey, his great grandchildren: Darius, Dalton, Mia, Carson, Allie Mae, and Austin. Delbert is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Donna, his son George Wood, his sisters Mildred Kilgore and Eloise Howell.

Family and friends are welcome to call from 1:00-2:00 pm on Saturday, July 21, 2108 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA.  The memorial service to honor Delbert’s life will be held at the conclusion of the visitation at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 21st at the funeral home.  Burial will be private in East Canton Cemetery.
