David R. Reichard, Sr.

73, of Columbia Crossroads, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025.

Born on November 7, 1951, in Bethlehem, PA, he was the son of William and Elizabeth (Verba) Reichard.

On June 27, 1970, David married Susan Dubs in Bethlehem, PA. She preceded him in death on November 4, 2023.

David was employed by Canton Manufacturing until an injury led him to discover a new passion in farming.

He enjoyed hunting, watching his grandsons play football and lacrosse, scratch-off lottery tickets, and living a simple life. A lifelong Phillies and Eagles fan, he remained devoted through every season.

David will be deeply missed by his children: David R. Reichard, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; Jennifer (Brian) Starks of Bethlehem, PA; Rebecca Mickley of Horseheads, NY; and Sarah (Mitchell MacDougall) Reichard of Hector, NY.  He is also survived by his grandchildren: Ashley (Jack) Hobbie, Alicia Reichard, Serena Starks, Emily Starks, Maxwell Mickley, and Fallon Mickley; and great-granddaughters Abigail, Hailey, and Kylie.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Guthrie Hospice, Chemung County Nursing Facility (5th Floor), and Jim Bailey for their compassionate care and support of Dad.

In keeping with David’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.
