Catherine Frances (Sullivan) French

Catherine Frances (Sullivan) French, of East Troy, PA, born on January 13, 1944, in Rockville Center, NY, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2024, in Sayre, PA. She was 80 years old. She was the loving wife of Steven A. French. The couple married July 13, 1996 and had 28 happy years together.

Catherine dedicated much of her life to being a loving homemaker. Her interests were diverse and brought joy to her days. She found great pleasure in solving crossword puzzles and cherished the companionship of her beloved cats and dogs. A fervent NASCAR fan, greatly enjoyed attending rodeos, rode a Harley Davidson motorcycle, and loved seeing live rock & roll and blues shows like the Alman Brothers. Catherine was known for her friendly nature and had a gift for engaging in heartfelt conversations with those around her. Above all, she treasured spending quality time with family and friends. A devout Catholic by faith, Catherine's passing leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Steven A. French; her son, John G. Leimeister; and her cherished grandsons, Joseph and Michael. Additionally, she leaves behind her stepchildren, Jeremy Lee (Lisa) French and Michael West, along with her step-grandson, Andy. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph E. and Charlotte Sullivan; her son, Peter J. Leimeister; and her brother, Charles Sullivan.

There will be a celebration of Catherine’s life at the family home at a later date. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 1093 West Main St. Troy, PA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
