Carol Peony Lou (Mcneal) Anderson

Carol Anderson (Peony Lou) (McNeal) 79 of Troy Pa started her journey home on Monday 8/13/2024. Carol was born March 24th 1945 in Troy PA the daughter of Kenneth McNeal and Phyllis Vorhees of Granville Pa. Carol was a 1963 graduate of the Troy Area School District and focused on business and the school yearbook committee. During her later years in High School Carol spent her time with Robert Roy Bruce Jr which later led to marriage and children. Carols children consisted of Lori & John Davis, Shawn Bruce & the late Linda Bruce, the late Scott Bruce and Lisa and Dori Bruce & Randy Jennings. Carols favorite (Her Grandchildren) consists of Zack & Kelsa, Terri, Nick & Sam, Brock & Danielle, Mikey & Brittany, Steven & Olivia, Meggin & Kyle, Josh & Hannah, Sam & Brian and the late Beau Parker. (Great Grandchildren) Kye, Tatum, Kimber, Zane, Peyton, Eveylnn, Mckenna, Bailey, Luke, Leyna, Serenity, Page and unborn baby Parker.

Carol is survived by her brother Mutt (Gary) McNeal, siter in-law Imogene McNeal, family friend Thomas Lee and many other nieces and nephews. Carol is proceeded by (Son) Scott Bruce, Bruce McNeal, Butch (Kenneth) & Anna McNeal, Albert McNeal, sister in-law Joan Ellsworth, daughter in-law Linda Bruce and Grandson Beau James Parker.

Carol most enjoyed, spending time with family, meeting friends for nights filled with bingo shenanigans, watching her family race dirt track and derby. Carol also enjoyed attending church with Beau and any other family member that would attend. Lottery tickets were definitely a must after a morning of church.

Carol was also highly known for taking in anyone that needed a place to stay or just eat. She was known as Grandma and Mom to many. Carol will always be remembered as Haggy and genuinely missed by her companion Willy (Golden Retriever). If Carol could choose what she would be remembered for she would want everyone to just be kind to each other.

The family would like to extend a special and very grateful thank you to family and friends, UPMC Hospice and the Troy Community Hospital nursing staff for their excellent care of our beloved Carol. Thank You to all of Carols Family and Friends for their love and support during Carols brief illness.

Visitation and memorial services will be held at North Street Community Church (177 North Street Canton Pa 17724) at 4:30 pm on Monday August 19th 2024. Memorial services will be officiated by Keegan Wright. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 1093 West Main St. Troy, PA has been trusted with the funeral arrangements.
