Brandon Larue Ostrander

April 27, 1992 — May 30, 2025

Blossburg, PA

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brandon LaRue Ostrander, affectionately known as Brandon or “Dennis the Menace” to those who loved him, departed this world on May 30, 2025, in Blossburg, Pennsylvania, at the age of 33. Brandon was born on April 27, 1992, in Towanda, Pennsylvania, and spent his life cultivating a rich tapestry of experiences and relationships that touched many.

A proud graduate of Troy High School's class of 2010, Brandon embarked on a career with Wood Sharps, Inc. in Liberty, PA, where he excelled as an apprentice. His passion for craftsmanship was evident in his love for woodworking, which he pursued with dedication and skill. Brandon's interests were as diverse as they were numerous; he found joy in the great outdoors through fishing, boating, hunting, camping, and gardening. He was an avid enthusiast of street motorcycles and dirt bikes and found peace in the camaraderie of campfires and grilling outdoors. Brandon cherished playing video games with his dear friend Dillion McCutcheon and was famous for embracing those around him with a heartfelt hug and "I love you" whenever he met or parted ways. His most important thing was caring for and loving his daughters. He was the best daddy ever!

Family was central to Brandon's life, and he leaves behind his loving parents, Harold LaRue "Skip" and Tina D. (Baldwin) Ostrander, who nurtured and supported him throughout his journey. Brandon's greatest pride and joy were his two beloved daughters, Amaya and Amelia Ostrander, with whom he treasured every moment. He was also a devoted father alongside Karina Potter, his significant other. He is survived by his grandmothers, Barbara Baldwin of Troy, PA, and Joan Ostrander of Bentley Creek, PA, as well as his sister and brother-in-law, Alleshia and Curtis Baumunk of Midland, TX. Brandon's extended family, including his uncles and aunts David Baldwin of Troy, PA, Ronald and Tammy Van Ness of Towanda, PA, Donald and Gail Van Ness of Towanda, PA, Pete and Robin Van Ness of Athen, PA, Nancy and David King of Melbourne, FL, Lloyd Bailey of Milan, PA, Doug and Des Rockwell of Granville, PA, Roy and Janneita Mansfield of Millerton, PA, Bruce and Debbie Brown of Wysox, PA, Brenda and TJ Kulago of Gillett, PA, nephews Callen, Fletcher, and Tucker, and many cousins. He is remembered fondly by his dear friend  Dillion McCutcheon, mentor and friend Jeff Wood, his faithful dog Tyson, and his special neighbors.

Brandon is preceded in death by his special grandparents, Howard G. Baldwin, Gerald Oldroyd, Shirley Oldroyd and Harold L. Ostrander, Sr.
