Betty Ann (Carlson) Walburn

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Ann "Betsy" (Carlson) Walburn, who left us on August 10, 2024, at the age of 73. Born on November 21, 1950, in Blossburg, PA, Betsy spent her final days in Troy, PA, surrounded by loved ones.

Betsy was a dedicated employee at Dandy Mini Mart, where she made many friends and left a lasting impression with her warm smile and kind nature. In her younger years, she found joy and camaraderie in bowling, participating in several leagues and relishing the competition and friendships formed there. She was also an avid reader, finding solace and adventure in the pages of countless books.

Family was the center of Betsy's world; she cherished holidays and family get-togethers, knowing that these moments created memories that would last a lifetime. Her cabbage salad was a beloved tradition at these gatherings. Betsy also delighted in playing board and card games with family and friends, spending countless hours enjoying the simple pleasures of life.

Betsy is survived by her loving sister Peggy Morgan of Troy, PA; sons Jeff (Tracy) Bartlett of Susquehanna, PA; Steve Bartlett of Canton, PA; and John "Ike" Elvidge of Troy, PA. Betsy was a proud and devoted grandmother to Chelsie (Brian) Miller of Amherst, VA; Jarrett (Olivia) Bartlett of Susquehanna, PA; and Samantha Bartlett of Canton, PA. She also leaves behind her cherished great-grandson, Aiden Miller of Amherst, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Ann (Strong) Carlson, and her dear Wendy Bartlett, who passed away in 1990.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Betsy's life at Bakerburg Community Church, 197 Grey Valley Road, Mainesburg, PA on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM. We will gather to remember a remarkable woman who brought light and love into the lives of all who knew her. The Gerald W.
