Bernice (Bolt) Barrett

TROY- Bernice (Bolt) Barrett, 91, of Lowman, NY passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. She was the loving wife of the late Charles L. Barrett who passed away April 20, 1987.

Family and friends are welcome to gather from 11:00 am-12:00 pm on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Bernice's life will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, April 3rd at the funeral home with Pastor Micky Cavenaugh of the Gillett Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of Bernice's family in Glenwood Cemetery.

Bernice was born on September 15, 1922 in Troy, PA, daughter of the late Guy and Helen (Letts) Bolt. She was a Troy High School graduate, Class of 1941. She was a member of the Gillett Senior Center and the Ladies Home Bureau. Bernice was an avid bowler and was a member of the "600 Club". She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and crafts, along with gardening, and bird watching. Bernice was Protestant by faith and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

Bernice is survived by her sons; Floyd (Jerrie) Barrett of Lowman, NY and Henry Barrett of Oklahoma City, OK, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, her brother Walter Bolt of Sayre, PA, along with several nieces and nephews.

Bernice is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, her son Thomas Barrett, and her daughter-in-law Cheryl Barrett.
