Arthur Lloyd “Art” Wilston, 82, of Troy, PA, passed peacefully at his home into the presence of his Lord and savior on Monday, January 23, 2017.

Art was born on March 21, 1934 in Mainesburg, PA.  His parents were the late Harry and Mary (McKay) Wilston. Art and his wife Eunice (Forrest) Wilston owned a construction business for many of the 60 years they were married.  Eunice cared for Art compassionately and lovingly in the final months of his life.

Art was a 1953 graduate of Troy High School, was involved over the years as a Troy Borough Council member, Sylvania Lion’s Club member, and was a member and belonged to the Board of Trustees of the Austinville Union Church.  He enjoyed fly fishing and hunting, wood working, metal detecting, thinking of a new invention (Art held 3 patents at the US Patent Office), and spending time with his family. Art was awarded The Pennsylvania Game Commission Certificate of Participation that recognized him for his years of hunting and fishing and his contribution to these sports, by introducing young people to the great outdoors.   His greatest legacy was to love his Lord, his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Art is survived by his wife Eunice, his four children: Sheila (Daniel) Eckman of Lancaster, PA, Sandi (Gregory) Jones of Troy, Gene (Susan) Wilston of Sugar Grove, PA, and Ronald (Kathleen) Wilston of Bath, NY, 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, his sister Myrtle (John) Inman, his brother Ralph (Carolyn) Wilston, and brother-in-law Roy Watson, along with many nieces and nephews.  Art is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Harold Wilston, his sisters Lucille Watson and Pauline Earle.

Family and friends are welcome to call from 1:00-3:00 pm on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Austinville Union Church, Austinville Road in Austinville, PA. Everyone is respectfully invited to attend the Celebration of Art’s life at the conclusion of the viewing at 3:00 pm at the church. Burial will be private in Bradford County Memorial Park. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
