Alice May (Comfort) Joralemon

Alice May (Comfort) Joralemon, of Sylvania, PA, was called home on April 19, 2024, at the age of 90. She was born on June 30, 1933, in Bungy, PA, to the late Charles Nathaniel and Alice May (Michael) Comfort.

Alice was a dedicated farm wife helping her husband Ned by hand milking cows and driving the tractor during haying season. In addition, she worked for GTE-Sylvania for 35 years in Quality Control and Payroll. After retirement she found joy in being an Avid Reader and had a passion for cooking, known for her exceptional ham hock & bean soup and sloppy Joes. She was a member of the East Troy Baptist Church and was a faithful follower of The Sheperd’s Chapel with Pastor Arnold Murray from Gravette, AR.

Alice is survived by her loving daughter, Alice Marie Joralemon-Strong and husband Jack of Fort Worth, TX; sister-in-law Irene J. Miles of Horseheads, NY; several nieces and nephews; and best friends Jeanie and Carl Young. She is preceded in death by her parents,  husband Ned L. Joralemon who passed away May 2, 2011, and siblings Henry, Charles Nathaniel Jr., Thomas, Mary, and Shirley.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Bradford County Memorial Park, 20452 Route 6, Towanda, PA, with Rev. Ozzie Osgood officiating. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 1093 West Main St. Troy, PA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
