Virginia A. “Blondie” (Butcher) Ward, 77, of Granville Summit, PA passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018 at the Troy Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Virginia was born on March 24, 1941 in Roseville, PA, daughter of the late Harry A. and Margaret I. (Schofield) Butcher. She worked the Honeycomb Line at Eureka/Paper Magic in Troy for over 30 years and enjoyed reading, watching birds, and spending time with family and friends.
Virginia is survived by her daughters Cindy Putnam (Brian Crandell) of Granville Summit and Linda M. (Ted) Johns of Webster, FL, her grandchildren: Bill (Alicia) Harris, Jami (Mike) Park, Jeremy Johns, Justin Johns, and Shaylin Johns, her great-great grandchildren: Quianna Rockwell, Cameron Park, Damon Park, and Tesla Harris, her brothers Gary (Esther) and Dale (Ida) Butcher, both of Granville Summit, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her bothers Jim and Ron Butcher, her nephews Jim “Bub” and Wade Butcher, her great nephew Joshua Butcher and her dog Rusty.
The graveside service to honor Virginia’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Granville Center Cemetery on Route 514 in Granville Center, PA with Rev. Micky Cavanaugh of Gillett Baptist Church officiating. The arrangements have been entrusted to the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA.
