Mareva May Seymour

Mareva May (McNeal) Seymour, Age 94, of Columbia Cross Roads passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the Troy Community Hospital. She was born May 4, 1923 in Big Flats, NY. She is the daughter of the late Herman and DeEtta (Mott) McNeal. Mareva was a 1941 graduate of Troy High School and through out her adult life she was extremely proud of her perfect attendance during her school years. She was employed at Iszards Department Store in the Tea Room and later at the Columbia Cross Roads Post Office as a mail clerk. She retired from the Troy Hospital in 1985 where she worked in the housekeeping department. Mareva was a member of the Coryland Baptist Church and Coryland Baptist/Presbyterian Church. She also helped the Columbia Cross Roads Methodist Church with their harvest dinners and other events. She was a dedicated animal lover, had many pets and enjoyed working with her flowers.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law Gary and Audrey, and daughter Sharyl all of Columbia Cross Road. Three grandchildren, Lori Jo Pierce, Christopher Glenn Seymour and Tabitha Jan Bailey. Three great-grandchildren, Wyatt Loren, Ashlynn Mareva and Abigal Hayley Seymour, as well as three step-great-grandchildren, Willow, Brayden and Maddison, many furry grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service that will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11:00 at the Coryland Church, 3028 Hickory Road, Gillett, PA 16925 with Reverend Ken Marple officiating.
