Glenn Ward Obituary

Glenn M. Ward, 82, of Springfield, PA passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018 at his home.  He was the loving husband of Mary Norma (Varney) Ward.  The couple married December 15, 1956 and had 60 happy years together.

 

Glenn was born on May 1, 1936 in Berrytown, PA, son of the late Kenneth and Bessie (Kier) Ward.  He was a 1954 graduate of Troy High School and was a truck driver for Leprino Cheese until his retirement.  He was a long-time member of Mt. Pisgah Wesleyan Church, was a member of the Bradford County Antique Tractor Association, and the North East Antique Tractor Pulling Association.  Glenn was passionate about tractors and attended every pulling event in the region that he could.

 

Glenn is survived by his loving wife Mary Norma, his children Michael (Mellissa) Ward of Sayre, PA, and Annette (Daniel) Patton of Springfield, his grandchildren: Jennifer (Noah) DePew, Jason Ward, Deric Ward, Dustin Patton, and Austen Ward, his great grandchildren: Ian Hart, Jason Ward, Jr, Joslyn Ward, Tucker Depew, and Cireanna DePew, his brother Robert (Nancy) Ward, his sister Patricia Merrill, along with several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded by his parents and his great granddaughter Madison DePew.

 

Family and friends are welcome to gather from 10:00-11:00 am on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Mt. Pisgah Wesleyan Church, 6430 Berwick Tpke Columbia Cross Roads, Pennsylvania. The funeral service to honor Glenn’s life will be held after the viewing at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 28th at the church with pastors Rev. Jeff Falke and Rev. Lynn Ensign officiating.  Burial will be private at the convenience of Glenn’s family in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA.

 

Memorial contributions may be made in Glenn’s memory to the Mt. Pisgah Wesleyan Church, 6430 Berwick Tpke Columbia Cross Roads, Pennsylvania 16914.
