Clifford D. Fleming, Age 78, of Route 514, Granville Summit passed away Monday, August 20, 2018 at the Robert Packer Hospital. Cliff was born May 30, 1940 in Sayre son of the late Lawrence and Beatrice (Dexter) Fleming. He was a graduate of Troy High School Class of 1958. Following his graduation from high school he joined his family on the farm and operated his dairy farm alongside his brother Elwin until his retirement. Farming was Cliff’s life and even during major setbacks including his barn burning and taking a major portion of his cows he forged ahead and rented other local barns to continue his dairy operation. He enjoyed retirement, family gatherings and meeting with his coffee club friends at Moose’s and at the Dandy.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years Patricia A. (Lutz) Fleming of Granville Summit, four sons, Mark (Tammy Alexander) Fleming of Towanda, Jeff (Debra) Fleming of Athens, Greg (Laura) Fleming of Springfield, VA, Brett (Tammie Bailey) Fleming of Canton, stepchildren, Christy Swain of Troy and Corey Baxter of Aldi, VA, 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a brother, Elwin (Joyce Bradford) Fleming of Granville Summit, Charles (Sandy) Fleming of Pittsburgh, a sister Kathy Seeley of Canton, sister-in-law, Kate Fleming of Millerton, brother and sisters-in-law, Terry (Debbie) Lutz of Troy, Connie Hulslander of Canton, Sally (Roger) Hulslander of Troy, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Cliff was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Bill and Fred Fleming and his granddaughter, Tiffany Fleming.
Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 12 Noon Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Gerald W. Vickery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA 16947. Cliff’s funeral service will be held at 12 Noon following calling hours with Reverend Garry Zuber officiating. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery Troy, PA.
