Tyler Richard Brown, 27, of Troy, PA passed away unexpectantly on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at his home.

 

Tyler was born on March 29, 1988 in Elmira, NY, son of Darl R. and Nancy L. (Hoagland) Brown of Troy, PA.  He was a 2007 graduate of Troy High School where he was a varsity wrestler and football player.  Tyler was currently employed by his uncle at Don’s Siding and Windows in Canton, PA.  He was a past member of the Sylvania Presbyterian Church and was currently attending Fellowship Bible Church in Troy.  Tyler enjoyed playing any kind of sport, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his family and friends.

 

Tyler is survived by his parents Darl and Nancy, his brother Ryan Brown of Baltimore, MD, his sister Whitney (Craig) Sheeley of Troy, PA, his niece Jordyn Sheeley and nephew Jase Sheeley, his grandparents Richard and Joeann Brown of Canton, PA, his uncles and aunts: Don (Claudette) Brown, David (Cindy) Brown, and Daniel (Litza) Brown, all of Canton, PA, Denley (Danette) Brown of Virginia, Robert (Sharon) Hoagland of North Carolina, Ella Mae (Steven) Wielage of Iowa, Diana Burris of Florida, Ron Burris of New York, and Edwin (Annita) Hoagland of Mexico, along with several cousins and numerous friends.   Tyler was preceded in death by his grandparents Edwin and Gertrude Hoagland, and his cousins Michael Hoagland and Joshua Brown.

 

Family and friends are welcome to call from 4:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Fellowship Bible Church 121 Mud Creek Road Troy, PA.  The memorial service to celebrate Tyler’s life will be held following the visitation at 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 27th at the church with his pastor Mark Steckiel officiating, and also with Tyler’s uncle Rev. Edwin Hoagland and friend Dale Harper assisting in the service.  Burial will be private in East Canton Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA.

 

In lieu of flowers there has been a memorial fund set up in Tyler’s name to support families dealing with addictions at Fellowship Bible Church 121 Mud Creek Road Troy, PA 16947.
