Over all these years I remembered the professionalism of then CPT Bridges. I’m very sorry to hear he left us way to soon. He was a great company commander who mentored as I prepared to go to Warrant Officer Canidate School.
Respectful,
Steve Hansen

Terry, I was so sorry to learn of Buddy's death. He was a very fine man! Buddy and I sang together in the Warren Baptist Church choir. My dad was born in Blakely and I had relatives there, and Buddy knew them also. My husband was stationed at Eisenhower AMC, so we had the Fort Gordon connection as well. Our deepest sympathy to you!

Dear family, when I think of a family God has used to model His plan for family and the impact they have on others, I think of Mr. Bam and Miss Pat's family. Then seeing and hearing the stories to know that Buddy replicated that, is pure joy. What a legacy he has left for his children, family, friends, and colleagues. I am so sad with you, and I am so grateful this painful separation is only for a moment. I will pray God fills the void in your heart with comfort and leadership and peace. I love you all! I am deeply sadded by Buddy Bridges' passing this past week. I felt honored to have met him and been able to assist him when he retired from the Army. Along with the passing of Col. Scott Watkins this past week, it was a tremendous loss of two very distinguished veterans who had such an impact during their lives and were struck down in the midst of life. Our condolences to the family and friends of these fine men.

I'm so sorry to hear of my cousin Buddy's death. I have always thought of him as such a kind person, both as a boy growing up and later as a fine man. Loved our times with Aunt Pat and Uncle Bam, Buddy, Trisha, and Clay. Always lots of laughter and music. Much love to all.

We are so sad to read of Buddy's passing. Our prayers are with his wife and family. Buddy was my (second) cousin and he sang at our wedding in 1975. It is a comfort to know that Buddy, throughout this life, exemplified the Christian faith that we both were taught as children at the First Baptist Church in Blakely, Georgia.

I first met Buddy as a classmate at the Army's Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas in 1989. Buddy was always a gentleman first. Smart and humble, and with a quick wit that made it easy to make friends with him. I felt like he had been a friend for a much, much longer time. Over the years since then, our paths would cross and it was as if no time had transpired. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My wife Shirley and I wish to convey our deepest sympathies to Terry and the rest of the family.

I knew Buddy from work with the NGCCA. He is exactly how everyone describes, mentoring, kind and dedicated. A truly admirable human being. He will be greatly missed. God bless you Buddy. Joe Palmeri

So sorry to learn of your loss. I was Buddy's Dean at North Georgia College. I met Buddy on his first day of Frog Week and had the opportunity to watch him grow and develop into a fine young man and an outstanging leader. Buddy and I shared many good times during his years at NGC. I always enjoyed his return visits when we laughed and remembered the "good old days". I shall miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with Buddy's family and loved ones.
